Spirit, blood and water

For there are three that bear record in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one.
1 John 5:7-8 KJ21
My intention is, God willing, to examine in a series of postings in this blog the three that according to the First Epistle of John bear witness on earth.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man so we must take both the divine Word of God and the real world seriously without accepting anything that is not true. For the Spirit of Truth that does not suffer children of God intentionally accepting lies and false claims and warns of false teachers who are not from the truth.

Not believing is a serious matter and there are people who do not accept that God became flesh nor believe that such thing could really happen.  But more treacherous are teachers in the Church of God, the body of Christ, who are not truthful and teach false things about God and His majestic acts of creation and wonderful acts of grace towards those He has made.

Truth is not elusive but it is very demanding, difficult and often beyond our reach.
Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, “I am the Light of the world. He that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
John 8:12 KJ21
Thus the best way to learn to know the One, who calls Himself Truth is to live with Him, to walk with Him, to let Him guide and direct our lives and in this way, in living union with the Son of God, to grow in understanding and love.

He has promised that the Spirit will lead us to the Truth.

But this is not an easy road and deeply challenges our being, every cell of our brain and everything in our heart as if pushing our faith on test again and again, testing us are we serious about Him - we talk the talk, but can we walk the walk.

So these postings are not written by a master who knows the truth but rather by a student, a disciple of Lord Christ, who wishes to follow Him wherever the Man of Galilee decides to take with grateful knowledge that it is not up to him who runs but up to God.
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God who showeth mercy.
Romans 9:16 KJ21
